Vacation Stay

Absolutely loved the uniqueness of our stay in our bus/mini house. The time outdoors on our deck and by the fire pit was the best. The quick walk to the water was a highlight for our grandsons. 100% recommend this stay if you are in this area of Alaska.

Lovely November visit!

We loved our stay at the Yellow Door Bus cabin! The design is so unique, tasteful, and full of thoughtful touches. Everything was beautiful, spotless, and so comfortable. The location right across the street from the beach felt really special, and the beds were incredibly cozy. I loved the bathroom — the shower was amazing! For future guests, it might be helpful to know that [in our opinion] the cabin is best suited for two adults + 1–2 kids, or, two couples without children. We had originally planned to share it with another family, and the kitchen and living room/hang out space would have been a bit too small for us (4 adults + 2 babies). The Salted Roots team was wonderful and helped us figure out the best setup to make sure we were comfortable and able to enjoy our stay to the fullest. We truly loved our time here — and taking a sauna both nights was such a bonus! We can't wait to come back.

Loved this part of my trip.

What a memorable stay we had in the bus cabin! My family was a little nervous about the detached bathroom but they soon decided all houses should have that kind of bathroom detached. The beds were comfortable! The cabin was warm. Nothing was left forgotten. I did want to make you aware that the floor in the corner of the kitchen needs to be repaired. I am pretty sure that the only thing in that area that keeps someone from falling through is the floor and that won’t last long. We feel truly lucky we were able to reserve it so last minute. We will be back!

Perfection

Loved sleeping in the bus and relaxing in the Adirondack chairs at the beach, watching the otters do their thing for hours. A perfect day in Seward!
